About Cabo del Sol

Cabo del Sol has been the centre of Los Cabos golf since the Nicklaus Ocean Course opened in 1994. In 2019–20 the course went private as the Cove Club, and Nicklaus rerouted it around new beachfront homes. The community pairs it with Tom Weiskopf’s semi-private Desert Course inland, and the Four Seasons on the beach below.

Cove Club (Ocean Course)

Once famous for what Nicklaus called the three best finishing holes in golf. When Cabo del Sol took the course private in 2019–20, Nicklaus returned to reroute it around new beachfront real estate: the original 16th–18th are gone, replaced by new ocean-facing holes, with paspalum surfaces, four seaside holes and rebuilt bunkering.

Desert Course

Tom Weiskopf’s layout north of the highway crosses canyon ridges, deep arroyos and granite outcrops. Broad landing areas and strategic approaches — and an ocean view from almost every shot.
