El Dorado is where Discovery Land Company started in Los Cabos. The Nicklaus course was carved out of the Cabo Real land in 1999 and taken private soon after, and the club that grew around it — the beach club, the comfort stations, the caddies who know your name — became the template repeated at Chileno Bay and copied all along this coast.
